On Friday, October 16, the White House announced​ the Pharmacy Partnership for Long-Term Care Program—a national vaccine distribution program for long- term care residents. The COVID-19 vaccine will likely become available in phases over the coming months, with long- term care communities being prioritized in the early stages of this process.

While this is good news for our elders, staff, and families we are cautiously planning as there are still many details to be finalized. Nazareth Home leaders have been actively engaged in conversations regarding the vaccination and will be ready to respond as soon as one is made available.

The last several months have been difficult for all of us, and the upcoming winter brings many unknowns. We are committed to continuing to provide the highest level of person-centered care possible. Our elders and staff are our priority, we will continue to do all we can to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all. We are grateful for the understanding and patience our families have shown during this difficult time.
